I lost count of the crashes i had in the previous race - sometimes it's just not your day :(

Quote ( Jonathan Beagles @ June 26th 2023,02:49:22 ) More on F1R after work today, as I've got other things to focus on now...
Or not...too tired. Certainly this week, as I'm off from Thursday onwards :)

Congratulations @Ania Piekarska (M3) for a well-deserved victory, Drivers' Championship and Team Championship - a brilliant performance all-round. Thanks to @Jonathan Beagles (P15) for excellent hosting and all the other teams for making it so exciting ;)

A points finish for Gurney and von Trips makes it their 2nd consecutive points finish

Depends how long it takes Jukka to put together the changes to the site - I reckon at least a couple of months though. September-October earliest for next season I suspect.

Quote ( Jun Ho @ June 29th 2023,15:16:17 ) COME TO ME
You're having a laugh lad you never race! :) I feel sorry for poor Sam. Aren't you meant to be the team leader? Failed in my mission to get you back onto the track ... sigh
@ J - These percentage things - maybe think about removing anyone with less than say 10 races from those in the interests of fairness? Just so it doesn;t sound like sour grapes i'll be removing myself from a couple that way - doesn;t seem right somehow someone with only a handful of races topping the list - and in the case of John he has an equally impressive second place in most of them with many races run so no change really :)
2 months? Blimey i really should have grown a pair and joined the new game huh? :(

I'll consider it - but I quite like them being in there, as they did a good effort in a limited time...perhaps an extra stat for 10+ races or 3+ of whatever the statistic is though. Will give it some thought.

FYI Jukka has had my "wish-list" in full now of amends to make to the site for next season, which are as follows...plus a couple of minor behind-the-scenes things you don't need to worry about:
1 - All numbers on the site to be reduced to 3 decimal points (that includes the lap-times/total times that are shown in the race, along with ensuring that to get a Perfect setup you only need to enter 3 decimal points...so the Perfect distance for the corner should now just have 3 decimal points - i.e. round up the other digits). 2 - Make the Home Page editable, so I (and only I) can update the bit that says 'F1R Wiki' with key messages for the players 3 - Add the concept of game money into the site - give me a page where I can add their starting financial totals (and perhaps manually adjust any totals mid-season) and then after each race a script should run to use the final published totals to automatically give them money for their performance. 4 - Players should be able to spend money on multiplier boosts. 5 - Update the Qualifying Session page to be the same as the Race Results page, i.e. a 1961 and 1962 tab 6 - Remove Connaught, JBW, Vanwall, Scarab and Emeryson from the Teams list (NB if removing is going to cause issues with former results, then just hide them from view please) 7 - Add BRP and Scirocco to the Teams list (BRP should be #CCFF99 background with #000000 writing, Scirocco should be #305496 background with #FFFFFF writing) 8 - Team-mates selecting to each other pass and then crashing...it may be that both didn't select to let their team-mate pass...but it should be that if the one in front has that selected, that should be sufficient to prevent a crash. It may be correct and everyone is really selfish...but that seems unlikely! 9 - Multiple people pitting on the same lap from the same team should have a penalty for stacking in the pits, as follows; 2 cars on same lap, the car in-front has 0 penalty, the car behind has to wait based on the following sum:
Length of Car #1 pit-stop PLUS 10 seconds MINUS the amount of time Car #2 was behind Car #1
If 3 pit on the same lap then the 3rd car will have to wait for:
Length of Car #1 pit-stop (though this should be ignored if they have left the pits before Car #3 enters) PLUS Length of Car #2 pit-stop PLUS 20 seconds MINUS the amount of time Car #3 was behind Car #2
NB - the 10 seconds is for the mechanics to get ready for the next stop
10 - Get the site ready for the 1963 season
Worth noting he has already fixed the Lap 1 bug from stints.

Thanks for the update :)
Would it be possible to have the qualifying page show manager names when you mouse over the drivers, in the same way that the race page does please?

Yep can't see why not - will add to the list :)

1962 season is now fully in the books on the Wiki (although need to update Driver and Team Profiles still) - https://f1-revisited.fandom.com/wiki/F1_Revisited_Wiki
In other news, of the 13 things I've asked Jukka to do before the new season starts, he has now finished 4 of them...so we are on the way! Some big ones still to change though, so likely next year at the earliest :)
|
|
|
Driver profile page of the Wiki now updated:
https://f1-revisited.fandom.com/wiki/Driver_Profiles
Plus profiles now created/completed for:
Nino Vaccarella (@Nicholas Bryant (P13)) Roger Penske (@Enrique Gonzalez (A4)) Wolfgang Seidel
With Wolfgang von Trips, Roy Salvadori, Keith Greene and Ricardo Rodríguez all still to come (I'll tag relevant people once they are done).
NB Jukka has been working on the site and made some decent progress; hopeful of getting something good to go some point around January to March 2024...

We are still working on the site updates FYI - multipliers are almost finished; hopeful of a start to coincide with the F1 season itself this year (if not sooner)! :)

Great news - website is now updated (just a couple of minor tweaks to go).
Bad news - I am really struggling with time to run games, Football World is finishing but MTM S2 is now starting in its place. I will get the new season up and running, though it may take a few weeks to get it all started depending how busy I am with work/parenting!
