Shush :P

Sadly not in a while :(

I don't remember a race where it stopped raining this early..

Quote ( Jozef Lesay @ October 6th 2023,20:31:44 ) i am complaining too :)
Nah, I don't really mind, I got the result I needed in the season already

I'm not complaining either. It's fair and it's just maths and rng and sometimes a gamble works out and sometimes it doesn't.
But I am infuriated.

I hit everything (in terms of tactics, wear and consumption). :)

At Paul Ricard earlier this season it rained for 1 lap.
And I started on Rain tires there too -_-
Of course last race at Anderstorp when it rained for 8 laps (or however many it was) I started on Dries.
What I'm saying is, it's me. I'm the problem.

Hello everyone! I’m new to the game and following the races in my group in the Amateur I noticed a detail that made me curious. When the rain starts for the leader on lap 50, for example, and I’m 2 laps behind, will the rain start for me the next time I pass the finish line or only when I reach lap 50 too?

You need to check your data, it rained for 2 laps, that is the minimum you will have, based on how the game works.

Then the game must have changed. A long time ago there were at least two races, when only lap 1 was wet. (Hint: You even took part in one of those races. ;)
But yes, it rained 2 laps in Paul Ricard this season.

Pablo is my teammate and we are having a debate about this....Lets supose u are 2 laps behind the leader and the leader is at lap 50 when start rain.. and you at 48... Our debate is on next 2 laps. will the leader running at wet at same time you be at dry? thats dont make sense the driver running at dry and wet at same time of the race... so the guys to laps down will take a lot of time on drys against of wet guys on front... totally wrong.. At old screen dont show you on lap 48 and show the leader lap plus the seconds or minutes you are behind him.. so dont show u doing 2 laps on dry at same time leaders are doing 2 laps on wet

The old race screen is best to use to understand how the game engine works. It doesn't really use laps, it's more of a linear calculation. So everyone gets "lap 50" conditions and weather when the race leader does lap 50, even if they are very far behind in time - for that roll of the dice the calculations of conditions are the same for everyone.
The new race screen gives more engaging visuals, but the calculations don't work like that. In the new screen you can lap somebody, racing in dry conditions, while it is still raining on them.

I have checked all my weather data sin S15 and it ahs always rained two laps, it has started raining after 1 lap. I have one race where I have data of 1 lap in the rain, but donpt know where since I was not a supprter n S14 and I have not unlocked those races

Yes that is the one it rained for 1 lap, but have not unlocked it (they didn´t give you free supporter credits then and it was my third race.)
Will take a look at that, interesting that you comment there is another before that one, but not a single one in the last 80 seasons.}

Yes, there is at least one more before S14.
Interlagos in S8 had the following distribution: 1 wet, 4 dry, 10 wet, 10 dry, 27 wet, 19 dry. Well, that's what my team's data say. I wasn't around back then, so I can't confirm it from my own data.
Also back until S8, this race in Interlagos was the only race with 5 weather changes.

I'm here from my humble home just watching this sequence of wheel of fortune races.

The weatherman for Lusail was a scam artist! I want my money back!
Speaking of weather ... so, rain in the menu for foreseeable future of S95? *evil grin

you will need to reach lap 50 before experiencing rain.

I gotta say, I'm really enjoying these dry-wet or wet-dry (or whatever Anderstorp was) races. There's a lot of strategy involved, I'm trying out different setups, gaining some experience... it's all super fun.

Please, don't tell me this is normal. No, this forecast is a sh!t, demotivating and unacceptable in the whole season.... :/ :(

I think that full wet Rafaela Oval in 15%-25% rain probability will complement this season (of course with rising temperature from 15 degree at start to 45 degree at the end of a race).

Well, you did have 50-60% chances, 40+ degrees and 90+ humidity, what did you expect? :)

Rain comes from the cloud; not from relative humidity.

Multiple weather changes... :P
But that happened what is happened. Not impossible, just unlikely.

15 minutes of torrential rain causing red flag.
