12 resets… Lets math this out
There is about 20% chance of hitting Slave vs Emperor in a single game.
Which means 80% of not hitting Slave vs Emperor in a single game.
You guys have just played 12 matchups… 24 games
0.8 ^ 24 = 0,0047 = 0,47%
Well, that’s still more likely than my chances of winning Elite (?)

I think a better way of doing is to count the probability of a game ending in a draw, which would be 17/25 (68%) which keeps being these odds each time by the way, showing us how much social interaction is important in these (bluffing your opponent and tricking them makes these odds fluctuate).
So, 68% of games end in a draw, which means the odds of being here where we are from the get-go is 0,68^12 = 0,009 = 0,9% which is a bit higher than your odds.
The reason for that is that your odds do not include draws that come from draws originated from the Slave and Emperor hitting eachother both times in the matchup, I think. Regardless, it is a really low number still, but don't forget the odds of it happening again is still 68% :P

Oh that's right. A possible tie comes from actually both players hitting Slave vs Emperor in the same matchup.

When this season started, these two guys delivered the very first result of all. Henri took down Jun in a one go. Their paths were clearly different. Henri stayed on top positions and qualified as #1. Jun fought from behind as #6 seed. Four months have passed after their opening matchup in the Group stage, and they meet each other once again...

I think it is important to note that we learned a big lesson here (in my opinion at least): this game doesn't work for forums, at least not without adpatations :P
The odds of drawing and needing a rematch being over 50% is just mindblowing, this game was clearly meant for physical play with bluffing and visual cues from your opponents!
Still fun to play Matias. Now #BringTheCamels!

There is another game, also rock-paper-scissors related (not Slave-Citizen-Emperor), that i'm interested in explore. It's still in the oven with many details to prepare. But basically it's a game where matches are not pre arranged (like player A faces player B in a given round). Players must arrange games by talking each other, and ties are actually a good outcome (but winning is of course better and losing is obviously bad).

Im not going to lie @Matías Alloatti (P18), it was interesting to watch, and I do hope a second season will arrive soon!
I'd make some changes, though, which are the following:
* If a draw happens more than three times, the person who won the first set will go through, so it doesnt drag out and take ages - this will make games quicker and prevent other competitors waiting for ages.
* I'd change the card allocation to 3 emperor, 3 slave, 3 citizen & a new card called 'the Minotaur' - which we'll get 3 cards for as well. The Minotaur is undefeatable, however, you can only use your allocated set, so if you run out - you won't be allowed to use it!
I'll get the rest of my changes written tonight

You do realise this is an actual card game, so you cant just make things up lol.

As Jun said, this is a card game that actually exists. So it could be difficult to add different cards, specially if I want to add a picture of the new card in the opening post.
It will take a while for S2 I think. There are some ideas for a more dynamic game, like starting right away in the knock out stage, maybe playing a double elimination format. Also maybe, after some ties in the same matchup, reduce the number of citizens by 1 to improve the chances of a slave vs emperor encounter.
