As a Liverpool fan you just made this a bit problematic for me Greg :P

Southampton have pride to play for, Liverpool already ensured they are in the Mickey Mouse League next season , can see saints getting a draw given there’s nowt at stake for the away side.

The thing that makes picking losers tough is relying on bottom sides to win a game even against mid table sides with nowt to play for. Picking winners is easier cos you just take the bankers. Torino is the team I’m most worried for cos Spezia will probably screw things up. At least they’re at home though, I almost went for Auxerre but figured their chances are worse being away to Toulouse, even if they are mid table (same as Torino).
My logic was simply teams with something to play for vs teams on the beach, or teams with shocking away form (Forest!). Common sense has all my teams losing , but no doubt they won't!

It could be more Mickey Mouse...at least it's not the Europa Conference League, and nowadays you can get a Champions League place by winning the Europa League (arguably an easier task than finishing in the Top 4 in the Prem) :)
EDIT - And Liverpool will want to finish the season strongly to show there is hope for next season, after not making the Champions League, so I reckon we've got pride to play for also. Should be a decent game, for a dead rubber lol!

So, in the interest of this game you’d take a draw ?!

Weird one...we can't improve our position, a win or a loss changes nothing for our season. But I still wouldn't want to see us have a bad game! Yeah I'd rather Greg got big points there tbh...

Looking at the poll results shows why the majority of us are NOT professional gamblers!!!!

@Liviu Sandu (A26) quite possibly the best first 10 minutes of football since Newcastle went 3 up against Spurs! Shame it stayed 2-1!

@Nicholas Bryant (A26)
reminder for you Sir, in case you wanted the badge of honour for competing in every round :)
Not many good options left mind, it was struggle for me!

Ok, its time to do the scores. :D
So...
Jon scored...8 Liviu scored....30 Greg scored...29
Leaving it like this...
Greg Tierney 370 Liviu Sandu 351 Jonathan Beagles 335 Enrique Gonzalez 328
A score of 43 will win the game for Enrique. Certainly not impossible.... time to see...
first one was 15 points...Groninjen losing 0-5
Bologna 3 points for a draw.... Jon actually loses another 6 points for that duplicate... :/
Leeds scored 12 points....
That gives Enrique 30 as it stands. If Koln need to score 15...
Koln scored 9.
Enrique ends with 39 points and CONGRATULATIONS to GREG TIERNEY.... who wins by a margin of 3 points!!!!!!

Week 12 The final week of the season threw up plenty of surprises, probably none bigger than Brentford's win against City, though Vitesse and Elche both winning and Southampton getting an incredible 4-4 draw with Liverpool also surprised. In the end, Greg can be thankful to both Aberdeen and Emmen for getting him over the line by a margin of just 6 points with a score of 32, and Enrique managing 39, falling short despite having a 15 point scorer. Those surprise results by Brentford and Bolgona getting a point against Napoli essentially ensured Greg limped over the winning line. Though had he not missed a round i'm sure the lead would have been that bit bigger. Unlucky of course to Enrique, who was right there all season with both Jon and Greg.
Also, Unlucky to Jon, who took the lowest score of any player this week, just two points scored. A season ending nightmare score that saw him drop from 3rd to 5th after Liviu managed 30, and Nicholas overtaking him at the death also with his season best of 42. Jon lead for the first 8 rounds of the game, just seemed to run out of steam when the European teams got involved! Thank you to everyone for taking part, especially of course to the 8 or so players who regularly stuck it out, including Xavier there near the bottom, who couldn't quite end the season better than his 10th place. Mentions also to Florea and Keith for staying the fight to the end, despite not being in strong positions to win. See you all in August for Season 3!
CONGRATULATIONS to GREG TIERNEY!!!!!! 🏆

it was a 6 point margin actually, as I had 9 in for Aberdeen initially when it was 12. Great work...very close in the end though!
