Hey @Denny Holt (A20) , how's it going? You seem to have built up a healthy bank balance, and you've confirmed your retain status for this season so, from the outside, it looks like you're heading in the right direction!
I got 4th place in my first race, which confirmed my place in the group, so I recruited a young project driver before race 2. He's got bags of Talent but is low in other respects so I'm hoping I can work on him enough to enable me to compete for promotion next season. He's looking quite quick already - I've had a bit of bad luck in some of the races (like running out of fuel on the penultimate lap and losing 5 places in the pits :((( ) so I'm quite optimistic and I'm enjoying the ride.
We're seeded to meet in the Cup Final - hopefully see you there.
Best of luck - come round for a cup of tea and some cake while you're here in the UK for the Silverstone race tonight.

Congratulations on the 2nd place finish in your home country @Peter Coleman (A20)! The talent of your driver certainly paid off in the rain.
I actually took the opportunity to test my driver's boundaries on a wet track today. I pushed him a bit too hard (6 DMs!!!), but I gained a good feel for where his upper boundary actually lies. I also had a bit of a problem with my fuel. My calcs were slightly off and I ended up putting a little too much fuel in my car which threw me off of my optimum pace. I am intentionally degrading my car at the moment as my focus is on saving money while getting to better know my driver's limitations. I doubt that I will ever make it to the Cup Final, but certainly wish you the best of luck in winning it.
Thanks for your fine hospitality. The tea and cake were excellent and were only exceeded by your fine company.

Best of luck on your promotion run this season @Peter Coleman (A20)!
I am going to hang out here in A20 for a while if they will let me. My driver is still far too inexperienced for me to take him back upstairs yet.

Thanks @Denny Holt (A20) - yes, this season will be the big push for me.
It's interesting - I've looked at our Group and: 1. the top five got promoted to Pro last season 2. only one person has come down into our Group from Pro and he only has $6.4m and no driver 3. eleven drivers have joined us from Rookie last season
So, I'm hoping that I will be competitive this season. My driver's signed up to (and including) race 1 of S90 and his salary is on the low side. I just need plenty of rain (talent=246) and - well, who knows?
Best of luck to you for S89 - I always look for you in the race and we've had some nice tussles on the track.

Commiserations to all who relegated. :(
Looking forward to racing again next season with all who retained.

I have no idea what I did to garner your condemnation, Donatas, but congratulations on your promotion this season as well.
Best of luck in Pro.

Definitely a strong start, Christer! Best of luck if you pursue the promotion. It would be great to see you advance to Pro for the first time if that is what you want to do.

I honestly never even knew that guy. Those were the first words we had ever exchanged. I had no idea where he was coming from, so I just decided to take the high ground and let it pass.

I dont think I have the cash needed to get a promotion. After this third race my car will be needing new parts and that will cost much. (ok its the same for all of us but I started so low in cash).
But if I decide to stay my driver might get over 110 OA and I really like him.
I love all these decisions.

Oh, I think we all know exactly what you mean! This game is certainly not for the faint of heart.

What happened Denny? You just disappeared in the start

I crashed coming out of the gate. It might happen again today too. If not a crash start, then certainly some other poor result. My driver needs to be properly demotivated before we can discuss his next contract extension.

You would think that a pat on the back and a raise would be sufficient, but that just isn't how it works in the GPRO world. 😁👍

Yes, you certainly did. Well done, Greg!
Although I had strictly cautioned against it, my driver seems to have slipped his quarters and enjoyed a rousing good time at the local taverns before the race. On the day of the race, he told me that he was fine and assured me that his performance would not be impaired by the previous night's escapade. As it turned out, the stress of pushing hard to win caused him to fall into a coma several laps before the race ended. It was during this period that you were able to slip him just before the finish line. We had to pull him from the car after the race had ended and revive him with a defibrillator. Once he came around, I had the fellows shock him a couple of more times just to drive home the lesson. 😫
My guess is that he will probably think twice before participating in any more pre-race parties and, if not, the defibrillator remains rechargeable. 😈

was gonna say, he was losing like 2.5 seconds a lap at the end there

Well done today at Miami, Jorge!
Congratulations to Thomas, Jorge and Aaron for securing their promotions this season.
Looks like the winner of our group has yet to be determined between Thomas and Jorge. This could be a nail-biting ending.
